I'm with BigT - Zoe Sharp's a cool customer and we'll be seeing more of her stuff over here in the US soon, one hopes. She's over in the States fairly often and that's always a good sign that her publisher is being her books 100%. Re: Joe Lansdale. I love his Hap & Leonard books (favorite scene? the burning of the crack house next door). Did you see the indie film "Bubba Ho-Tep"? It was developed from one of Lansdale's short stories. The man has a wonderfully twisted mind. He's got a few free short stories available on his website: http://joerlansdale.com/

Has anybody here read Carol O'Connell? Her Mallory is a tough chick too...

Oh goodness, I feel like "Websites R Us" all of a sudden...
