Wow. Zipped through the book in about a day and a half, and my one regret is that it's now going to be a long time before I get to read another new Tara Chace story.
Greg, I have a bit older than Tamsin is at the end of the book (she's got walking down and is a decent talker), so all the material about parents and kids really got to me in a way I don't know that they would have even a few years ago, particularly what Tara chooses to do at the very end. These are great, great thrillers, and they really affect me emotionally, so nicely done.
One thing I've been curious about since I read Gentleman's Game: when you do get around to new comic book stories, how are you going to address the events of the novels for people who only read the comics? Lots of major, major stuff happens in Tara's personal and professional lives in these two books, and if someone's just reading the comics, I imagine a lot of bewilderment. "Tara's pregnant? Wha? It's Tom's baby? WHA?" I know the next comic arc is supposed to be an expansion of the first 10 pages of Private Wars, so I guess that will cover a lot of the Gentleman's Game material.
