Sorry for the looooong delay. I hope you already watched the movie.
I'm glad we agree on The Sandbaggers. I wish there was a show on TV with the level of it.
I recently saw the two first episodes of the amercian brand new kidnapped and in a way it looks a bit a la Kodiak.

: I like Victor Cassel's work, but hadn't heard of this film so I'll have to dig it up. I was looking at the IMDB page thinking...where have I heard of Bellucci before? I think it was something other than the Matrix movies, too...oh well, I'll remember it just when it no longer matters ;-).

: As for the Sandbaggers, I love what I've seen so far. Hard to get your hands on the dvds unless you want to own the whole series so I'm tempted. The storylines are wonderful, as is the dialogue...add to that the 80's sets and, when necessary, scenes shot outside in an England-pretending-to-be-somewhere-else and it makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I watch them with a friend of mine who used to work for Granada and when we saw an episode re: a mission-gone-wrong in Russia, he said it was probably shot in Dover. I like that kind of info...just as much as I like visiting a tv studio or back stage at a theater. The mechanics behind how fiction is created...love it!
