:     I always enjoy reading about places that I know and I was suprised by how well you described Portland.   I fell in love with the city when I first came to it when I was 17  and lived and worked there for many years.  I spent 4 years working downtown as a Paramedic and spent lots of times in the places you described. I was initially disapointed to find a Portlander writing about a NYC bodyguard (I love the books though) but you can imagine my suprise when I finally worked my way to Fistful of Rain. Good job and many kudos to you.  Keep up the good work and be sure to take time to enjoy your surroundings. This is an amazing state and after 29 years as an Oregonian I still enjoy every day that I live here. Take care.  Larry
