So I started reading Shooting at Midnight last night and one thing that really has me confused is the age of Erika Wyatt. In the beginning of the book it is September and she has just started college (distance courses at least). But isn't she only 16?
When she first appears in Finder it is October/November and it says multiple times that she is 15. Smoker takes place in the following summer as there is a line that her dad died 9 months after the events in Finder. It is clear she is 16 because she can now drive a car. Shooting at Midnight takes place a month or two after the events of Smoker. So by my math she is 16 and starting college? I mean I suppose there are 16 year olds in college, but was there an explanation I missed as to how this is happening, or is my math incorrect?
