I've contributed the piece "(A Woman's) Blood Cleanses Honor" to the benefit anthology "Nothing But Red." The book, which just came out today, is a collection of writings and artwork responding to the honor killing of Du'a Khalil Aswad.
Joss Whedon learned of the killing and wrote an impassioned essay entitled "Nothing But Red." Inspired by Whedon's essay, 70 contributors/fans from around the world have offered their take on either the Aswad killing or misogyny.
Proceeds from the book will benefit Whedon's favorite charity Equality Now. This organization promotes justice and equality for women worldwide.
The book is not available in stores but can be ordered at the link below as either a POD book or an e-book.
Before you say it, yes this is a bit of self-promotion. But the cause is a good one.
