SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON.

I was in a special reading program in 2nd grade because I was reading well above my grade level, and they would let me go to the 3rd grade class to do personalized reading assignments with the teacher. I don't remember ever reading a novel before that, and I mowed through that book so many times that year that the teacher just gave me the book at the end of the year...

I've still got it somewhere, now almost 30 years later. I read a lot of other things that year, too, but SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON was the book that set me on the road to reading for pleasure.
