: Hi Kurt -

: I believe Greg spends a lot of time thinking about this secondary characters. It really shows in his writing, don't you think? We wouldn't care so much about them if he didn't, right?

: Nice list of favorite seconds - I also like Joe Pike from Robert Crais' novels and Dot from Lawrence Block's Keller novels. Dot's not the violent type. Or, should I say, not physically demonstrative? She just does a wonderful job of sending Keller, the assassin, out on jobs. I like her attitude.

: Greg's been away doing research, and he attended Left Coast Crime for four days plus a signing at Forbidden Planet in Bristol while he was away. He's back now...and just as busy as always, of course...

Hi Maggie,
I'm also a big fan of Joe Pike's and Elaine of Block's Matt Scudder series.

My guess would have been that Greg spends a lot of time with his secondaries, especially Bridgett, Alena, Natalie and Erika. They are all people that climb out of the book and "spend time with me".

Sure wish Greg would visit Baltimore or DC. I'd love to meet him. :)

Kurt
