I've excerpted the Flint Journal review column for the website Private Wars page, but had to leave out one of my favorite quotes (you'll see why when you read below, it's in bold). The review covers both Private Wars and Vince Flynn's Consent to Kill; I've had to cut out most of the review in order to keep from spoilers that would ruin it for those of you who haven't read AGG or PW yet.

Despite the presence of a female action hero and the fact that they are based on characters from a series of graphic novels, the Tara Chace novels are not "Alias"-style fantasies. Rucka has fashioned convincing, smart, authentic-feeling novels with jaded protagonists who are doing their best on the very dark side of the world.
Not that Flynn has slid into Clancy overwriting yet, but the lean and mean "Private Wars" has twice the plot in about two-thirds the verbiage of "Consent to Kill," and it packs just as much emotional punch.

Ain't that the truth? Twice the plot for your dollar. I like it :).
Now, has anybody here read Vince Flynn yet? I confess, I haven't....
