Thanks for the suggestions, Maggie. I'll put those in the "Queue". I'm a little over halfway done with California Girl and quite like it. Its refreshing to have a story with 3 protagonists that each share a similar desire to find the murderer, but each is telling the story from a different viewpoint due to there values and where their lives took them. Good Stuff.

One thing kind of bugs me though and i'm kind of curious to get your opinion on this. Maybe this is cause I'm a designer and i overthink this stuff, but the title and the graphic design of the book to me, are a bit off the mark. At first glance it almost looks more like a Carl Hiasson book then to the darker type of story it is - not to say there is anything wrong with Carl, i dig him too. But it seems to me you would want something darker and gritty, with maybe a touch of some retro sixties, you know, maybe a little more Vachss, a little less Hiasson for lack of a better example. And I would have picked a title that related to the brothers, because they are by far the most interesting aspect of the book so far.

But you know what they say, its just one man's opinion....I just irks me to see good books sold short cause of blah design.
