Firstly I love the Bridgett character. Not sure if you're read all of the AK books, but Shooting at Midnight goes into a lot of detail about why she is the way she is. Great deep character there.

As far as other book recommendations:
Stephen Hunter - Point of Impact
Clay Harvey - A Flash of Red; Dwelling in the Gray
Lee Child - The Killing Floor
Lorzenzo Carracaterra (misspelled?) - Apaches

Try those out. I think you'll enjoy them.

Oh, and Fistful of Rain is really good too. Thats well worth looking at.
