: I thought Dennis Lehane's Shutter Island was amazing. Just a terrific book. Read one of his series, I believe it was A Drink Before War. If memory serves I thought it was good, but probably not spectacular. Never tried Robert Crais, maybe I'll grab one.

A Drink Before the War isn't my favorite Lehane, though many people I know just loved it. Would you be willing to give him another try? Not only is Mystic River one helluva book, but the others in the Pat and Angie series are (imho) superior to the first. Try Darkness Take My Hand. Once I read that one, I was sold on Lehane for good.

: Also just read the new Harlan Coben. Formuliac but still a good page turner. I have to say though, that Coben's Gone for Good was stellar.

I'm on record as being one on the world's loudest Bolitar junkies :). In Promise Me, when Myron is viewing the bride's side of the church (at Esperanza's wedding) and he comments that "Crayola sent representatives." I was in heaven. Myron's back! LOL

: Another wildly underrated guy is Steve Hamilton whose Alex Mcknight series has yielded 6 excellent books. Check him out, you won't be dissapointed.

I wouldn't think of arguing with you since Steve's another client of mine. His next Alex McKnight, A Stolen Season, will be out in (probably) late August tho' St. Martin's is calling it a September book. Expect info on his book tour on the website soon as we can confirm some dates.

Since you like two of my clients (thank you very much!)...what about some of the others? Lawrence Block or T. Jefferson Parker? Have you read either of them?
